Watertight Concrete
Sika is the market leader in concrete admixture technology. Combining this with our expertise in waterproofing has led to the development and evolution of the Sika® Watertight Concrete System, now the most widely used system of its type in the UK.
Watertight Concrete Powder
Sika® Watertight Concrete Powder is a combined water resisting and HRWR/Superplasticising admixture, used to enhance the workability of and reduce the water permeability of concrete. The product incorporates Sika® ViscoCrete Superplasticiser Technology and depending on material package will produce watertight concrete at a S3 consistence with a w/c ratio of <0.45 without the addition of a separate HRWR/Superplasticiser. Watertight concrete can be produced which is suitable for BS8102:2009 Type B construction (grades 1-3). Sika® Watertight Concrete Powder meets the requirements of BS EN 934-2 Table 9.
Sika® WT-200 P
Sika® WT-200 P is a combined water resisting and crystalline waterproofing admixture used to reduce permeability of concrete and has the ability to heal cracks.
Sika® 1+
Sika® 1+ is a liquid water resisting admixture used to reduce the permeability of concrete. Used in combination with Viscocrete® Superplasticiser Technology, watertight concrete can be produced which is suitable for BS8102:2022Type B construction (grades 1-4). It meets the requirements of BS EN 934-2.
SikaProof® – Fully Bonded Membrane System
Sika’s unique pre or post-applied system provides a fully-bonded and crack bridging membrane. SikaProof® consists of an embossed, highly flexible polyolefin membrane, with a unique grid pattern of sealant and a specially designed non-woven fleece.
SikaProof® A08 Membrane
SikaProof® A-08 is an embossed polyolefin FPO sheet membrane for pre-applied fully bonded below ground waterproofing of reinforced concrete structures. Membrane thickness 0,8 mm. SikaProof® A-08 is cold applied
without heat or open flames to prepared substrates or onto formwork before fixing reinforcement and concrete placement. The membrane has self-adhesive longitudinal strips for bonding overlap joints and is laminated with a unique sealant and a non-woven fleece backing layer which creates a bond with the cast concrete.

SikaProof® P12 Membrane
SikaProof® P-12 is a fully and permanently bonded, self-adhesive, post-applied, composite sheet membrane waterproofing system for reinforced concrete structures. It consists of a flexible polyolefin (FPO) based membrane that is pre-coated with an adhesive sealant layer so that the membrane system is self-adhesive. It is cold- and post-applied, without heat or open-flames, by a simple peel and stick process on hardened concrete structures.

Sika BentoShield® MAX LM
Sika BentoShield® MAX LM is a self healing waterproofing membrane that’s resistant to contaminated soils, forming an automatic mechanical bond to freshly poured concrete it virtually eliminates the possibility of water movement between the membrane & structure. Approximately 6.5 mm thick, consisting of two polypropylene geotextiles, a woven fabric and non-woven fabric, enclosing prehydrated homogeneous layer of granular sodium bentonite at a minimum weight of 5000g/m². The two geotextiles are interlocked by a needle-punching process forcing fibres from the non-woven layer through and beyond the woven layer. This process contains and confines the polymer modified bentonite granules and forms a physical link between the geotextiles. A flexible polyethylene layer is integrally bonded to the non-woven geotextile.

Trak-It® C5 Gas Fixing Tool
The Trak-It® C5 gas fastening system was developed for use in light-duty static applications, including attaching drywall track to concrete, block or steel, lath to concrete or block, furring strips to concrete or block, and plywood to concrete or block base materials. The system is designed for speed, efficiency and consistency. Operation of a gas fastening system does not require licensing.

Cavity Drainage System
Sika® Cavity Drainage System creates a secondary internal wall and floor to control water after it has penetrated the structure. Utilising a high density polypropylene internal drainage membrane, the system directs penetrating water into a drainage system and a collection sump before using a pump to discharge water from the building.
Sika® Standard Drainage Membrane

Construction & Movement Joints
Special attention should be given to the use of waterstops at movement joints. Movement joints are necessary because of movement in the structure as a result of settlement, traffic loads, shrinkage or other causes. Sika offers high performance joint sealing systems that can be applied internally or externally.

The Sikadur-Combiflex® system is a high performance joint and crack sealing system for construction joints, expansion (movement) joints and connection joints or cracks. Sika® 1
Sika®-1 Waterproofer is an aqueous solution containing complex colloidal silicates. In the presence of water these swell and block the capillaries and pores in the applied sand cement renders, screeds and mortar to provide an effective water barrier against the transmission of liquid water. Sika®-1 Waterproofer can be used alone as an admixture or as a waterproofing system when used in conjunction with the Sika®-1 Pre-Bagged, Spritz, Render, Screed and Finishing Mortars.

Waterproofing Resins / Injection Grouts
